Digital Photo Collage Gallery

Starting in 2022, shortly after when I first made this site, I got really into making digital photo collages (variably also termed "photomanips", "photoshops", etc.). This has been an art form I return to every once in a while, although not consistently so; mostly to make horror/found footage/paranormal themed pieces!. This page had only the first four photocollages I made back in 2022 for four years, but now I'm making sure to add more that I've made in the years since, including a selection from The Unit on Fortean Phenomena: The Purple Files, a zine of original photocollage art and SCP-ish microfiction I made in the summer of 2024. Check it out! Hope you like the photocollages below!

The monster to the right is a flying ghoulish head with bat wings, the face taken from the painting The Blind Leading the Blind by Pieter Brueghel the Elder.
Encounter! (April 2022)
"as you descend the stairs you encounter... *the sound of dice being rolled* a corpsen Amphoranaut wielding a bronze shield and curved blade, and a blind Death's Head with wings a-flutter!"
A photocollage of two reptiles on a brick wall partially covered in ivy. On the left is a small wall lizard, halfway cut off at the edge of the image. On the right, taking up most of the image, is a large reptilian creature made up of parts from several different lizards and snakes: a bearded dragon head, monitor lizard body, gecko and alligator legs, the tail of a spider-tailed horned viper, and (the only non-reptile part) a pair of scorpion claws right under its head. The reptile on the right is wearing a green turban on its head.

A photocollage of the Blindheim, a subterranean amphibian monster from the first edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Fiend Folio. The Blindheim is a frog-like humanoid with a scaly underbelly and wiry, lanky limbs, its frog mouth agape, with two large circular eyes that constantly emit beams of light. The Blindheim in this collage is in a cave, facing the viewer.
Blindheim (May 2022)
An illustration of one of my favorite Dungeons and Dragons monsters, the blindheim! These funky lil guys are vaguely reptilian frog creatures that dwell deep underground and have eyes that emit beams of blinding light.

Oh No! (May 2022)
"oh no, looks like someone went and did it"

Test Face (February 2023)
After not making any collages for the rest of 2022, I wanted to practice doing it again by making a couple of simple spooky faces.

Test Face (February 2023)
After not making any collages for the rest of 2022, I wanted to practice doing it again by making a couple of simple spooky faces.
A dark and grainy photocollage of a bedroom, seen from the perspective of someone lying down in the bed. At the opposite side of the room from the viewer are three entities. From left to right: One is a bright red crinoid barely visible in the shadows; the next is a squat humanoid in a grey trenchcoat and bowler hat with a set of human teeth and gums for a head; and the rightmost entity is a looming humanoid with a long male crab claw for a hand and an upside down mantis head.
Three Entities Entered My Room That Night (May 2023)
A brightly-lit grainy photocollage, depicted as if a real photo of a paranormal sighting. The foreground is the side of a building made of corrugated steel, with a window open towards the viewer. Inside the window, peering out through it, are two vaguely humanoid entities. The one on the right has the body of a bog mummy and an inverted blue jellyfish for a head. The one on the left is just barely peeking over the edge of the window with a monkey-like hand, and has eyes like those of a snail infected with the parasite Leucochloridium Paradoxum. In the bottom left corner of the image the date 3/21/2004 is visible.
Sighting (May 2023)

A harshly black and white photocollage of a Japanese subway station with the form of a Japanese salaryman hanging upside-down in midair over the tile floor. His legs are arranged in the 'Hanged Man' pose from Tarot, and a blender is balanced on his outstretched foot. The image has been dithered, leaving only pure black and pure white, giving it the appearance of a copy of a copy of a copy.
月本さん (Tsukimoto-san) (June 2024)
It is said Tsukimoto-san makes deals in the dimly-lit subway tunnels, but that he always gets his due. Featured in The Purple Files!

Mr. Horrible (June 2024)
Mr. Horrible, boogeyman of the Pacific, breaks into unsuspecting bedrooms at night to remove perfectly circular chunks of his victims' flesh and lick all their furniture. Featured in The Purple Files!

The Salesman (June 2024)
A human-hunting spider from Australia perfectly adapted to modern environs, posing as a traveling salesman to ensnare its victims and slurp out their insides with its vacuum. Featured in The Purple Files!

The Hattersley Shadow (May 2025)
February 9th, 1974, Hattersley Housing Estate, Cheshire, England A wife and mother of one, ████████ George, posed with a newly purchased television set in the foyer of her flat; at the very moment the photograph was taken, the television suddenly flashed on with a loud sound, which Mrs. George's husband and daughter described as a typical, if over loud, television activation noise, while Mrs. George herself said it sounded like someone shouting something, although she could not make out what was said. When the photograph was developed, a face-like shape was visible in the static, and a long-necked silhouette is seen standing in front of the television set and to the side. Facial deformities present on both figures are on the opposite sides of the face from one another. Two weeks later, Mrs. George found her cat, Mr. █████████, drained of blood in the front yard outside the estate. That night, a mysterious call typified by heavy breathing and rhythmic beeping tones that Mrs. George said "recreated a Beethoven song" woke her and her husband up at 2:30 A.M. Shortly before the phone hung up, the television turned on with the same loud sound as it had on February 9th. Before the week was out, the family discarded the television, although they continued to report radio malfunctions and books falling off of bookshelves until they moved out from the housing estate.
